Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Warehouse Supervisor in day to day operations of a Parts Distribution Warehouse.
  • Lead and communicate expectations to warehouse staff.
  • Train warehouse staff in performing duties safely, accurately, and on schedule.
  • Ability to react to changing priorities in a fast paced environment.
  • Continually seek and suggest ways to improve performance of department.
  • Receive parts and arrange warehouse in most efficient method to increase speed of shipping and maximize space.
  • Use MacDon ERP (mainframe) system for inventory control.
  • Available for emergency after hours service if required & willing to work flexible hours.
Qualifications:
  • Experience or understanding of measuring key performance indicators in a warehouse/distribution environment.
  • Supervisory experience is an asset.
  • An energetic self-starter requiring minimal supervision.
  • Good leadership and communication skills.
  • Forklift experience and valid license.
  • Experience working on ERP (mainframe) and PC computer applications using recent Microsoft Office.
  • Understanding of inventory control procedures and ability to count accurately.
  • Physically fit and capable of performing all normal warehouse activities.
  • Valid Manitoba driver's license.
  • Carpentry skills would be an asset.
  • Experience with bar-coding, warehouse management systems, etc., would all be an asset.
